This module develops learners' understanding of how organisations and individuals can take climate action to reduce their carbon footprints. Areas such as energy usage, transportation, food and resource consumption are explored.
It will empower learners with a greater understanding of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gasses, and the impact of climate change on the environment. It aims to motivate and energise people into take meaningful action to reduce their carbon footprint and promote sustainable practices in their personal and professional lives.
Explain what a carbon footprint is, and what it represents
Understand the imperative for individuals and organisations to measure and reduce their carbon footprints
Be able to identify personal and workplace emission hotspots and take positive action to improve them
This series of modules is aimed at all employees within an organisation, regardless of role or seniority level.
Everyone who completes it will learn the same up-to-date information, thereby achieving a consistent level of knowledge throughout the business, and a stronger understanding of climate-related policies by employees.

For organisations looking at Carbon Literacy Certification, the suite aligns with the Carbon Literacy Project's Knowledge Framework and has been approved by the CLP as comprising 50% of the Carbon Literacy training course. The other 50% is completed on Teams with a small group of delegates and one of our Carbon Literacy trainers.
