Recently, our volunteering team visited the ‘Secret Garden’, an area of land in Milton Keynes running parallel to the Grand Union Canal and the East Coast railway line on the edge of Wolverton. Having fallen into dereliction, the site was purchased from British Rail by the local Council in the early 2000s and it is now a community garden.
On the day of their visit, the team assisted with various garden maintenance tasks, together with some local volunteers who attend regularly. This was a great day of team building and a chance to meet some of these wonderful locals who have done outstanding work in planting, donating, watering and tidying!
If you’re in the area and would like to get involved, simply pop down to the Gardens located at Stratford Rd, Wolverton, Milton Keynes, MK13 0DY and speak to any of the locals from 10am on Saturdays.
